INDIANAPOLIS — Zink Distributing Company, LLC, headquartered in Indianapolis, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Dever Distributing Company in Terre Haute, Indiana. The purchase closed on April 20.
“This is an exciting new chapter for our family business as we acquire a highly respected company in the Anheuser-Busch InBev network,” said Jim Zink, Jr., president of Zink Distributing Company. “Thanks to an amazing team of employees, which will grow in numbers, we are confident our customers will continue to receive excellent service and high-quality products.”
Since opening in 2001, Zink Distributing has grown to become the largest Anheuser-Busch InBev distributor in Indiana. The company distributes more than 600 brands including Budweiser, Bud Light, Busch Light, Michelob Ultra, Stella Artois and Goose Island. Zink Distributing also supplies local, regional and national craft beer brands, as well as some non-alcoholic beverages.
Nearly 150 employees are currently employed by Zink Distributing at their south side location. Zink Distributing anticipates hiring many Dever Distributing employees who will help service customers throughout the consolidated area out of the existing Zink Distributing warehouse.

The acquisition of Dever Distributing expands Zink Distributing’s footprint to include Vigo, Montgomery, Parke, Putnam, Vermillion, Clay, Sullivan and Greene counties. Zink Distributing will continue to serve Marion, Hendricks, Morgan and northern Johnson and Owen counties.
Actively involved in the community, Zink Distributing supports numerous central Indiana charities including St. Mary’s Child Center, Riley Hospital for Children and the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Zink Distributing was founded by the Zink family in 2001. Jim Zink, Sr. who has 50 years’ experience in the beer industry remains active in the company. Chris Zink, son of Jim Zink, Sr., also is part of the company’s leadership team as vice president sales.
