Boston Beer’s Traveler Beer Company Releases Lucky Traveler Shandy

BURLINGTON, Vt. — Some people keep rabbits’ feet on their person. Others don’t wash their socks all season long. Salt has been thrown over too many shoulders to count. As we make that transition from winter to spring, Traveler Beer Company is bringing their drinkers a brand-new twist of fate, Lucky Traveler Shandy, an American craft wheat ale made with real blackberries and aptly named to be the perfect accompaniment to getting lucky.

This brand-new style will be available to take drinkers throughout the first months of the year when luck has a special seat at the table. It’s the beer to drink when watching a certain game that starts with “S” and ends with “L,” or while cheering on with patriotic pride during a specific international, bi-annual series of winter competitions. And for those looking for a little luck to pair with their Valentine’s Day dinner, Mardi Gras celebrations or St. Patrick’s Day shenanigans, Lucky Traveler is the full-flavored, low ABV option.

“With Lucky Traveler, we’re shining a light on all of the exciting things happening over the first few months of the year as we head into the warmer days of spring,” said Jasen Holly of Traveler Beer Company. “People are looking forward to celebrating Mardi Gras, they’re looking for a little luck on Valentine’s Day and they’re enjoying the luck of the Irish on St Patrick’s Day; these are traditions that we can all get excited about as we come out of the dark days of winter. We brewed Lucky Traveler to celebrate these things and maybe bring a little luck along the way!”

The Traveler Beer Company creates innovative Shandys, inspired by the European pub classic. Instead of mixing ale with lemonade or a citrus soda, Traveler Beer’s American wheat ales elevate the recipe by brewing with real fruit, making for a remarkably refreshing beverage.

Lucky Traveler will be available in 6- or 12-packs of cans and on tap at bars and restaurants nationwide, in fresh, limited batcheswherever craft beer is sold. Lucky Traveler will be available alongside Traveler Beer’s year-round style, Traveler Grapefruit Shandy made with real grapefruit.
