Terrapin Beer Co., Skybound Partner Again on The Walking Dead Blood Orange IPA

Terrapin Beer Co., Skybound to Partner Again on The Official Beer of the Undead

Athens, GA — Terrapin Beer Co. and Skybound, the multimedia entertainment company, are again teaming up to create the official beer of the undead: The Walking Dead Blood Orange IPA. This latest version comes with a recipe adjustment, which includes packing more Blood Orange into the beer.

This year, the IPA will be in 6 packs of 12oz cans. Perfect for packing up and moving along before any undead show up to the party. It also means you can get more in your fridge, so you can stock up for every episode.

The Walking Dead comic book series, which was created by created by Robert Kirkman, debuted in 2003 and is the inspiration behind the wildly-popular TV series of the same name that premiered in 2010. The TV show loosely follows the plot of the comics.

The partnership with Terrapin came naturally, as both the comic and the TV show have strong ties to Georgia. The majority of the comic book is based in Georgia and much of the TV show is filmed in Senoia, a small town just outside of Atlanta. Further strengthening the local bond between the Walking Dead story and Terrapin is that the brewery’s beers have been featured in multiple episodes of the TV show since Season 2. Like many folks out there, Terrapin is a big fan of The Walking Dead and is excited to be part of this collaborative project.

About Terrapin Beer Co.
Terrapin Beer Co. began as a daydream between founders John and Spike, who brewed and released their first beer, Rye Pale Ale, in 2002. Six months after it’s release, the beer made it to Denver for GABF, where John and Spike took home a Gold Medal for Rye Pale Ale in the American Pale Ale Category.

Inspired by the creative culture of Athens, Terrapin began to add to its beer lineup, with unique beers like W-n-B, Hopsecutioner, and many others. Whether you’re joining us for a brewery tour at our tasting room, drinking a Hopsecutioner at your favorite watering hole, sipping some Hi-5 on your back porch, or enjoying a RecreationAle after a long day on the trail, we hope you appreciate the dedication we’ve put in for 14 years (and counting!)
