Mondo’sÔäó Blonde Ale, named after a local beginning surf spot, is a favorite at local fish taco restaurants. The new AerialÔäó IPA, a classic west coast, aggressively hopped beer, named after an aggressive surf maneuver, has gained a lot of popularity at Surf’s tasting room as well as restaurants in East County. Plans are to bottle Aerial with the expansion. General Manager and Co-founder Bill Riegler states, “Equipment orders were placed back in January and initial plans were submitted to the City of Ventura in April. It’s a lengthy and costly process for any small business to try and grow, no one makes it easy for you, and we financed everything internally, no bank loans or additional investors. Beyond the local need, this added capacity will also allow us to reach more of our fans down along the coast of Southern California who have been asking for a larger presence; Redondo Beach, Huntington Beach, La Jolla, Escondido.”
