Southern Star Brewing Introduces New Cans

Art Can One-off line

Conroe,  TX — Southern Star Brewing is pleased to announce the first release of our one-off line (previously known loosely as “Taproom Series”) in 12 oz cans. The artwork for the one-off can line showcases individual artists by featuring an existing piece of art on the can itself.

These cans utilize a full digital printing process whereby the artwork is printed on a shrink sleeve then shrink wrapped on cans.   This allows photo quality images to be used as labels.  We are utilizing the talent of local artists for this project, and intend on continuing to support our local artists through this program.  Credit is given to the artist on the cans, as well as the artist being paid a licensing fee to use the particular art piece.  The intention of this new line is to both help bring our brewers art to a wider audience, and to showcase our vibrant local art scene.

The first release in this line is an IPA called “The Honesty of Reason,” named after an art piece of the same name by Houston Artist M. H. Draper.  The original art is acrylic on canvas.
