Boise, ID — Payette Brewing Company Releases Onward Shay Ruby Red IPA this Friday at Payette Brewing’s new facility located at 733 South Pioneer Street, Boise, ID 83702 from 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm.
Onward Shay Ruby Red IPA is the Official Beer of Onward Shay! Boise Marathon. In memory of Shay Hirsch, Onward Shay! Boise Marathon comes to life to bring together runners from all over the world. The Boise-based half and full marathon has draw not only because of the beautiful landscape and weather, flat and fast course through Boise Historic District, downtown and the beautiful greenbelt, but also because it is a Boston qualifier, on October 30th, 2016.
Payette Brewing brewed a beer for the race, which happens to start and finish at the brewery. This grapefruit IPA has bright pale color with a ruby red hue, like Dorothy’s shoes in spirit of the marathon’s Wizard of Oz theme. It showcases bright citrus flavors from Northwest Chinook and Citra hops with a big dosing of fresh grapefruit peel. Tantalizing, flavorful and refreshing for spectating or a post-marathon celebratory beverage. 6% ABV, 80 IBU.
To celebrate the beer’s release and the marathon that is soon approaching, Payette is throwing a party this Friday which will include:
- Free Onward Shay Ruby Red IPA pints to those that register for Onward Shay at the release party.
- $1 off Onward Shay Ruby Red IPA pint to those that are already registered. Must show beertender proof of registration for relay, half or full marathon.
- Six packs of Onward Shay Ruby Red IPA will be available for purchase to-go.
