Notch Brewing Expands to New Hampshire

SALEM, MA — Notch Brewing of Salem, Massachusetts announced today that their beers are now available for sale in Southeast New Hampshire. The company’s beers are being distributed by Bayside Distributing (Brentwood, NH). The launch will begin the week of May 15th with a series of kick-off events throughout Portsmouth. New Hampshire is the third state to distribute Notch Brewing’s line of session beers.

“We’re excited to be able to share our beers with more people in New England,” says Chris Lohring, Notch Brewing’s brewer and founder. “For seven years we have focused on going deep in our home market, and grew by almost 50% in Massachusetts last year. With this strong base, we felt it was finally time to head north. Partnering with the outstanding team at Bayside, we look forward to introducing Notch to session beer lovers just to our north in New Hampshire.”

Bayside’s Kevin Crowell also commented, “Our Sales Team feels honored and privileged to partner with the first brand to focus entirely on Session beer, especially a brand that’s shown such explosive growth in their home state of Massachusetts. It’s a thrill to be able to introduce Notch to beer lovers in the Granite State, as their session-strength beers are a perfect complement to New Hampshire’s outdoors lifestyle. We look forward to introducing to our retailers and consumers on the NH Seacoast!”

Notch Brewing’s three year-round beers will be available in the draft and 12-ounce can (six packs and twelve packs) format across New Hampshire. The year-round offerings include Session Pils, Left of the Dial IPA, and Infinite Jest – a hoppy American Pale Ale.

ABOUT NOTCH BREWING
Launched in 2010 by Chris Lohring, Notch Brewing was the first brewing company in the U.S. to focus exclusively on Session Beer. Being a professional brewer since 1993, Chris knew that session beer had been enjoyed in every great beer brewing nation for centuries, yet in the U.S. it was overlooked. So he set out to brew the world’s classic session styles from the Czech Republic, England, Germany and Belgium, as well as explore how session beer could fit with the U.S.’s hoppy beer infatuation. Seven years later, Notch Brewing produces over 10,000 bbls a year, as well as hosts thousands of visitors to their Brewery, Taproom & Biergarten in historic Salem, Massachusetts.
