M&T Bank Stadium Now Offering Flying Dog Beer

Baltimore, MD — Baltimore sports just got another dose of Maryland craft beer.

Flying Dog Brewery out of Frederick, Maryland, will begin serving its beer at M&T Bank Stadium this Sunday, October 14, as Baltimore takes on Dallas.

“Craft beer in Maryland continues to grow,” Flying Dog VP of Brand Development Ben Savage said. “It’s great to work with yet another progressive Baltimore sports team that sees the value in supporting local, Maryland-based products and businesses.”

Flying Dog beer will be available exclusively at a storefront in the lower concourse of the stadium (section 117, gate B). The brewery’s starting lineup includes UnderDog Atlantic Lager, Snake Dog IPA, and Doggie Style Classic Pale Ale. All beers will be available on draft.

This announcement comes on the heels of a successful partnership between Flying Dog and the Baltimore Orioles. Flying Dog beer was served throughout Oriole Park at Camden Yards this season, along with food pairings from Camden Yards chefs and Firkin Fridays, where specialty cask beer was poured at every Friday home game.

“We are really excited about any opportunity to support our local teams,” says Savage. “As fans, we know having world-class, locally-brewed craft beer offered at the stadium enhances the fan experience on game days.”

Flying Dog continues to be a popular choice among craft beer enthusiasts in Maryland, as the sales for Flying Dog locally are up nearly 20% year-to-date. Likewise, craft beer as a category continues to surge in sales nationwide, currently boasting a growth rate of nearly 14% in the first half of 2012.
