Overview
Welcome to Flying Dog, America’s most disobedient craft brewery. Here at Flying Dog, we believe beer is an art form, and everyday we use creativity, humor, and innovation to challenge the status quo. Our story started 30 years ago when George Stranahan - a PhD in physics, founder of the Aspen Center for Physics, professional photographer, writer – opened a brewpub in Woody Creek, CO. Since that time, we’ve moved to Maryland, grown our team to over 100 dedicated craft beer crusaders and become one of the fastest-growing regional craft breweries in the mid-Atlantic. Our innovative beers are delicious and our gonzo ties are strong, drawing inspiration from Hunter S. Thompson’s relentless truth seeking and Ralph Steadman’s provocative drawings.
