Monarch Beverage to Distribute Sun King Brewery Beers

Indianapolis — Sun King Brewery, one of the leaders of the craft beer movement in Indiana, is excited to announce that Monarch/World Class Beer will begin distributing its Fresh-Local-Beer throughout Marion County starting May 1, 2017.

Monarch/World Class Beer, Indiana’s largest distributor of beer and wine, will help expand the distribution of Sun King’s extensive variety of Fresh-Local-Beer on tap and in cans at hundreds of bars, restaurants, liquor and grocery stores throughout Indianapolis. The change comes just in time for summer and the release of Sun King’s newest beers like Pachanga, a Mexican-style lager with a crisp malt flavor, perfect for hot days in the summer sun. Pachanga is available in 6-packs of 12-ounce cans at Indiana grocery and liquor stores, as well as on draft at select bars and restaurants throughout Indiana.

“As the industry continues to change and demand for our Fresh•Local•Beer continues to grow, we’ve decided to focus more on what we do best – brewing quality, flavorful beer that is unique to Indiana,” said Clay Robinson, co-owner of Sun King Brewery. “To do so, we’ll no longer self- distribute and instead, we’ll unify our sales and distribution strategy by working more closely with Monarch/World Class Beer, which has been distributing our beer to retail accounts throughout most of Indiana since November 2015.”

As part of Sun King’s commitment to sharing its success by supporting and servicing community partners, Sun King will continue to self-distribute beer to non-profits and community organization for events and fundraisers statewide.

“We’re extremely excited to continue to partner with Sun King,” said John Xenos, general manager at Monarch Beverage. “Sun King is not only an exceptional Indiana brewery with great beer, it’s also a Hoosier company that, like Monarch Beverage, believes in giving back to the local communities that it serves. We look forward to extending our relationship with Sun King in Marion County and expanding availability, so more Indianapolis residents can enjoy their locally-crafted beer.”
