Sun King is a production brewing facility serving bars, restaurants, liquor stores, caterers and sports and entertainment venues across Indiana. The brewery is open to the public for carryout growler, can, and keg sales, and hosts complimentary sampling hours on Friday. Sun King offers pint sales and sampling flights Monday – Thursday & Saturday.
Sun King makes three House Beers year-round: Sunlight Cream Ale, Wee Mac Scottish Ale and Osiris Pale Ale.

Beers from Indiana’s Sun King Brewery will make their first appearance on out-of-state retail shelves next month when the company begins distributing to Chicago and Louisville, Kentucky.
Sun King Brewery, one of the leaders of the craft beer movement in Indiana, is excited to announce that Monarch/World Class Beer will begin distributing its Fresh-Local-Beer throughout Marion County starting May 1, 2017.
Sun King Brewery, one of the leaders of the craft beer movement in Indiana, is excited to announce the new development of an approximately 15,000 square foot craft distillery and tap room in Carmel, Ind., that is projected to open in the fall of 2017.
New 12-ounce cans of its first, most popular and award-winning brews, Sunlight Cream Ale and Wee Mac Scottish Ale, will be available on grocery and convenience store shelves for the first time beginning July 25, 2016. At the same time, Sun King will update the packaging of its 16-ounce cans, as well.
Sun King Brewery president and co-founder Omar Robinson will sell a portion of his stake in the business when he retires next month. Simultaneously, Sun King will also turn over minority interest to incoming president Robert Whitt, who will “buy a portion of Omar’s stock over the next few years,” co-founder Clay Robinson told Brewbound. Oregon’s Cascade Brewing, meanwhile, has appointed Tim Larrance as its new vice president of sales and marketing.
Beginning this month, Sun King Brewery, Indianapolis’ largest beer brewer, will expand the distribution of its fresh, local, beer through Indiana Beverage, one of Indiana’s largest distributors of beer and wine, to 24 counties across northern Indiana, including four of the state’s biggest cities: South Bend, Fort Wayne, Hammond and Gary. With this announcement, Sun King beer will be available throughout the entire state of Indiana for the first time in the brewery’s history.
Sun King Brewing is continuing to reestablish distribution across its home state of Indiana, today announcing expanded coverage to 39 counties in southern Indiana via Monarch Beverage. The decision to grow comes nearly one full year after the company pulled out of some Indiana markets to avoid exceeding a statewide small brewery production cap that, at the time, was set at just 30,000 barrels. That cap was raised in May, when Indiana Gov. Mike Pence signed into law a bill that tripled the production limit to 90,000 barrels for self-distributing breweries with tasting rooms.
Sun King Brewery is proud to celebrate Indiana’s strong heritage of basketball with the release of a limited number of cans of Tip-Off Ale, a German-style Altbier with a rich copper color and mellow malt flavor.
Continuing its exploration of the craft alcoholic beverage sector, Alltech, a global biotech nutrition company, is investing $13 million in the construction of a new 27,972 sq. ft.brewery and distillery in downtown Pikeville, Ky. Having broken ground on the project earlier this summer, the company expects Dueling Barrels Brewing & Distilling Co. to be open in 2016.
Inc. Magazine’s annual ranking of the top 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. is out and, not surprisingly, several craft breweries made the cut. Nine craft breweries appeared on this year’s list, which is ranked according to percentage revenue growth over a four-year period.
Sun King Brewing has returned as a Promotional Partner for Gen Con 2015, brewing an official beer specifically for the convention for the fourth consecutive year. As part of this agreement, Sun King again will operate an outdoor, ages 21 and older, beer garden, and host a tapping “kickoff” party on the evening of July 29 in Indianapolis.
Sun King Brewery celebrated the opening of the new Tap Room and Small-Batch Brewery on 96th Street in Fishers today. The new location will create new and unique specialty craft beers and offer patrons the opportunity to sample and enjoy Fresh•Local•Beer on site, as well as for carry out.
Indiana Gov. Mike Pence has signed into law a bill that triples the production cap on beer that breweries are allowed to sell within the state while preserving other retail and self-distribution privileges.
