The Lost Abbey to Release Citrus Sin

SAN MARCOS, Calif. — The Lost Abbey is set to release its newest barrel-aged creation, Citrus Sin.

Beginning with a base wild ale that evolved in Oak Foeders for over a year, Citrus Sin was then transferred to freshly-emptied wine barrels where it matured for six more months. The barrel-aged brew was then combined with a fresh golden ale, with an amazing amount of Blood Oranges added to the blend.

“We’ve created a fun and simple blended wild beer,” said Tomme Arthur, COO, and Co-founder of The Lost Abbey. “It hits all the hallmarks of a beer made to beat the heat and that has us very excited.”

A refreshingly crisp wild ale, Citrus Sin has piquant notes of citrus peel and a burst of juiciness that finishes bone-dry thanks to the Brett and oak tannins. While able to be cellared to let the Brett continue to develop, we recommend drinking fresh to keep the vibrancy of the blood oranges on the forefront.

Citrus Sin will be available in 750ml cork and caged bottles and very limited draft throughout The Lost Abbey distribution network.
