Jack’s Abby Brewing Celebrates One Year Anniversary

Jack's Abby LogoFRAMINGHAM, MA – Jack’s Abby Brewing, the only all-lager brewery in Massachusetts, is celebrating its first anniversary with two events featuring over ten beers and a cask offering. The first event will be on Thursday, July 19th, at 7pm, at the British Beer Company in Framingham. The second event will be on Saturday, July 21st, at 7pm at Meadhall in Cambridge.

Jack’s Abby specializes in brewing traditional German style lagers with a distinctly American craft twist to them. This creative flair will be on display at these events with year-round brews such as Hoponius Union and specialties like Bourbon Barrel Aged Smoke & Dagger with Peanut Butter. The events will also serve as the release for two new beers: Ginger & Juice, a Ginger India Pale Lager with grapefruit, and Brett Biere de Garde, a biere de garde aged in white wine barrels with Brettanomyces wild yeast.

“Specialty brews have become a big part of what we do,” says brewmaster and co-owner Jack Hendler. “We get the opportunity to experiment with different ingredients and really push the boundaries of what lagers, and even craft beer in general, can be.” Brother and co-owner Eric Hendler added, “It is hard to believe that it has been a year already. I am looking forward to sitting down with everyone and enjoying the beers that we have worked so hard to make.”

About Jack’s Abby Brewing

Founded in January 2011 by three brothers who grew up in a family business, Jack’s Abby Brewing is a craft brewery specializing truly distinctive lagers featuring locally grown hops, traditional German brewing standards, and American innovation.

The name, Jack’s Abby Brewing, pays homage to co-founder Jack Hendler’s wife, Abby, while evoking the tradition of monastic groups in Europe who create handcrafted beers in their abbeys. The brothers are inspired by the tradition of craft brewing using quality local ingredients, mindful labor and great recipes to create delicious, authentic beer.
