Another piece of Scout Distribution has been sold off.
Hensley Beverage Company has agreed to acquire the remaining 75% stake in Scout’s Arizona business that it did not already own, after purchasing a minority stake earlier this year. The latest transaction is expected to close on September 30.
The sale of Scout’s Arizona business unit follows Hand Family Companies’ Sunset Distributing purchasing Scout Distribution in Los Angeles this past June.

Scout CEO Jeff Hansson added: “We’ve admired Hensley for their leadership in the market and their integrity as a partner. Together, we have an incredible opportunity to build something meaningful for our customers and suppliers alike.”
Scout launched statewide distribution in Arizona in April 2021. The company’s portfolio included beer brands AleSmith, Fate Brewing, Harland Brewing, Karl Strauss, Tombstone Brewing, Toppling Goliath and Wren House Brewing, among others. Scout also carries a handful of wine and spirits brands.
Scout Distribution’s remaining piece is a joint venture with Columbia Distributing in Idaho, which was co-launched in October 2022.
