Former CNN Chief Political Correspondent to Speak at Annual NBWA Convention

Crowley-Candy

ALEXANDRIA, VA – The National Beer Wholesalers Association’s (NBWA) 78th Annual Convention and Trade Show will take place October 11 – 14, 2015, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Award-winning journalist Candy Crowley, former chief political correspondent for CNN, will speak during the General Session, where she will share insights on the current political environment. She also will discuss trends and issues that most likely will affect voters in the upcoming elections.

As CNN’s chief political correspondent and the host of its Sunday morning talk show State of the Union with Candy Crowley, Candy Crowley has covered presidential, congressional and gubernatorial elections and major legislative developments on Capitol Hill for more than two decades. The Los Angeles Times called her “no-nonsense” and a “straight shooter,” characterizing her career as “sophisticated political observation, graceful writing and determined fairness.”

In 2012, Crowley became the first woman to moderate a presidential debate in two decades when she led the general election debate between President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney. Covering the most important news stories in recent history, her assignments have taken her to all 50 states and around the world. She has reported on the campaigns of every president since Ronald Reagan.

In addition to Crowley, Captain Chesley B. “Sully” Sullenberger, the airline pilot responsible for the “Miracle on the Hudson,” will be a featured speaker during the General Session.

“NBWA is thrilled to offer a dynamic convention program with insightful speakers, 23 education seminars taught by the industry’s leading experts and a Trade Show filled with vendors featuring innovative products and services for beer distributors,” said NBWA President & CEO Craig Purser.

With more than 275 exhibitors, this year’s two-day Trade Show will offer the opportunity to learn about a wide variety of new services and products. Attendees can discover new resources to help improve business in a relaxed atmosphere, while enjoying a cold beer delivered by America’s beer distributors.
