Bend, Oregon — Deschutes Brewery announced today that its craft beers will be available in the Central and Southern Regions of Pennsylvania the week of March 24, 2014. The Oregon-based brewery will be working with Wilsbach Distributors in Dauphin, Lebanon, Cumberland, Perry, Juaniata, and Mifflin counties, while simultaneously launching the brands with Ace Distributing in Adams, York, Franklin, Fulton, and Lancaster counties.

Stacy Denbow, expansion manager for Deschutes Brewery, said, “It’s extremely exciting to expand further into Pennsylvania after our successful launch and continued growth in Philadelphia last year. We have chosen two strong partners in Wilsbach and Ace. Their execution in the market will certainly help us to tell the Deschutes story as we start to look toward Pittsburgh later this year.”

Beer is slated to be available to this area in mid-March, and a series of launch events in Harrisburg, York and Lancaster will celebrate its arrival. Initially, Deschutes Brewery will be offering Mirror Pond Pale Ale, Black Butte Porter, the nation’s number one selling craft porter, Chainbreaker White IPA, and its spring seasonal, Red Chair Northwest Pale Ale. The beers will be available in six-packs and draft.

Deschutes Brewery recently completed an expansion at its main facility in Bend, Oregon with a total of 10 new 1,300 barrel fermentation tanks. When all the new tanks are utilized, the brewery will have the capacity to brew more than 460,000 barrels annually to fill demand in its expanding distribution footprint.
