Athens, Georgia — Saisons are highly respected throughout the beer community and produced widely in various forms by breweries around the world. With its emphasis on quality and a track record of brewing challenging styles, Creature Comforts is now set to release a Saison as its next seasonal offering.
Born from a desire to craft an American interpretation of the Saison style, while still staying true to the its roots, Creature Comforts’ Arcadiana utilizes a lesser-used yeast strain from a small producer in Belgium that features a complex yet subtle yeast character with juicy fruit notes balanced by light phenolic spice. Its lemony and herbal aromatic hop character is attained through generous kettle and dry hopping with American Lemondrop and Crystal hops. Creature Comforts has shown that it can utilize hops in a balanced way with its IPA and DIPA offerings: Tropicália and Cosmik Debris. These American hop additions make Arcadiana a highly refreshing drink while staying true to the spirit of the style!

The name Arcadiana is a play on Arcadia, a mythological utopia and harmony with nature. It refers to untouched wilderness and natural splendor. When coming up with the name for the Saison, the CCBC team wanted to instill an image of landscape and highlight the style’s reverence to farms and pastoralism.
Arcadiana will be part of Creature Comfort’s seasonal draft-only offerings and will be hitting the Atlanta and Athens market by the middle of August.
