Philadelphia, Penn. – On Monday, January 12, Captain Lawrence Brewing Company (444 Saw Mill River Road, Elmsford, NY) debuted Think Drink: Volume 1, a limited release draft for select Philadelphia area taprooms and bottle shops. The specialty beer is the result of a massive collaboration project (#ThinkDrink) that began on Tuesday, November 18, when 50+ tavern owners and bar managers embarked on a chartered bus trip to the Captain Lawrence Brewery in Elmsford, NY. Each establishment’s representative consulted with Head Brewer/Owner Scott Vaccaro on the style of beer, yeast strains, malts, alcohol levels and premium ingredients – and now that labor of love is finally ready to be tasted: Think Drink: Volume 1, a dry-hopped session Saison using German Hallertau hops, moderately bitter with a fruit finish and clean dry hop aroma.

“Think Drink: Volume 1 was one of the most fun and interactive brewing projects that we have ever been a part of here at the brewery,” says Vaccaro, who entered the Philadelphia market after partnering with top beer distributor Muller, Inc. this past October. “We were able to work closely with the industry professionals actually serving our beer, handing each one individual surveys asking for their suggestions on what they wanted this beer to be, and then inviting them all for a personal tour of our brewery.”

The collaboration beer will be available, on draught only, in the following bars and bottle shops:
