Brooklyn Summer Ale Hits Shelves Next Week In Cans

BROOKLYN, NY – For the first time ever, Brooklyn Summer Ale is offering the same quality-tasting Summer Ale in cans.

In addition to being offered in both bottles and on draft, Brooklyn Brewery will be offering their refreshing Summer Ale in cans – perfect for a camping trip or a day at the beach.

The canned offerings will be available in all markets where Brooklyn beer is sold, expect Minnesota.

Brooklyn Brewery describes there beer as:

a modern rendition of the “Light Dinner Ales” brewed in England throughout the 1800’s right up until the 1940’s. They were also called “luncheon ales” or even “family ales”, because they were refreshing and flavorful without being too heavy. We brew our Brooklyn Summer Ale from premium English barley malt, which gives this light-bodied golden beer a fresh bready flavor. German and American hops lend a light crisp bitterness and a citrus/floral aroma, resulting in a beer with a very sunny disposition. Summer Ale is excellent with salads, seafood, quiches, and lightly spicy dishes. It’s also great at brunch, or, of course, by itself.

Brewound.com reviewed the Summer Ale (from bottles) in April.

In addition to the cans, the Summer Ale in bottles will also be available in Canada, Sweden, the UK, Ireland, Israel and Japan.
