KANSAS CITY, MO — In a unique, local partnership between a craft brewer and a Major League Baseball franchise, Boulevard Brewing Company announced that it has recently entered into a multi-year sponsorship agreement with the hometown Kansas City Royals.
The package provides Boulevard with permanent signage in Kauffman Stadium, three Boulevard-branded concession stands, and exposure through the Royals Radio Network.
“Although we’ve been long-time supporters of the Kansas City Royals, we haven’t been able to do much more than buy season tickets,” said Boulevard president John McDonald. “Now, thanks to our continued growth and the Royals’ desire to enlist more local partners, we’ve stepped up to the plate.”
A large lighted sign bearing Boulevard’s distinctive diamond logo has been attached to the Royals Hall of Fame building in left field. Additional signage will identify two Boulevard Grill locations and, behind home plate, the newly created Boulevard Pub, designed to serve patrons both inside the Diamond Club and outside in the main concourse.
For several years, Boulevard has been the presenting sponsor of FOX Sports Midwest Royals Live televised post-game show, which airs throughout much of Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Arkansas and Oklahoma. With the new agreement, Boulevard also becomes presenting sponsor of the post-game show on the multi-state Royals Radio Network. In a separate arrangement with Aramark, the Kauffman Stadium concessionaire, Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat Beer will once again be available in the seating areas from new backpack-mounted kegs.
