Boulevard Announces First Quarter Results for ‘10% for KC’ Program

Kansas City — Boulevard Brewing Company today announced that its “10% for KC“ program will again provide significant funding to three Kansas City non-profit organizations. Though final figures won’t be available until next week, a dollar amount representing 10% of Boulevard’s first quarter revenue from local sales of KC Pils will be donated to the charitable groups. Online voting determines the allocation among the participants; with 48% of the popular vote, SocialHeart is entitled to 60% of the total pool. Historic Green andLiteracy Kansas City will each receive 20% of the total contribution.

“Once again our expectations have been exceeded by the creativity and dedication of our partnering charities,” said Jeremy Ragonese, Boulevard’s Director of Marketing. “The impact of the 10% for KC program, from the financial support to the visibility it brings to the organizations, has been very rewarding for all involved. It reminds us all why Kansas City is such a great place to live.”

Three different groups have been named as beneficiaries of KC Pils sales during the second quarter of 2014:Cultivate Kansas City, Midwest Foster Care and Adoption Association and the Truman Library Institute. At the end of the period, the public will again be invited to vote for their favorite, with the winner to receive the majority of available funds. Consumers are invited to visit to nominate area charities for future consideration.
