Boulder, CO – Boulder Beer Company, Colorado’s First Craft Brewery, will release a new limited-edition can design next month for its longtime fan favorite, Hazed hoppy session ale. This small run of cans will be available beginning in April and on the shelves while supplies last.

The limited-edition can art references the iconic green and white Colorado license plate graphic, clearly stating this is a native Colorado brew.

“We are very proud of our heritage as Colorado’s First Craft Brewery,” said Tess McFadden, Director of Marketing for Boulder Beer Company. “This can pays tribute to our great state, while also being a fun nod to the fact that Colorado is one of the best places in America to get hazed.”

Originally tapped in their Pub as an experimental pilot brew back in 2001 as Hazed & Infused dry-hopped ale, Hazed has undergone a series of design refreshes throughout the years. Most recently, in late 2014 the brewery redesigned the label to simply read Hazed which has been its abbreviated nickname from the start. They’ve also started calling it a hoppy session ale as a clearer way to describe the unique attributes of Hazed. With low hop bitterness (38 IBU’s), but big hop flavor and aroma, and a smooth, easy 5% ABV, Hazed truly is and always has been a sessionable hoppy ale.

“It’s the same brew we all know and love, with a new look” said McFadden.

The limited-edition “get Hazed” cans will begin shipping out of the brewery the beginning of April in 12 oz. 6-packs. Fans of the beer and the package are encouraged to use the hashtag #gethazed.
