In a move toward diversifying its portfolio and reaching spirits consumers, Pabst Brewing Company today announced a foray into the crafts spirits space with the launch of Not Your Father’s Bourbon. The 86 proof (43 percent ABV), small-batch bourbon is the first product to be launched in a new line of spirits under the Not Your Father’s label, which includes the popular Not Your Father’s Root Beer flavored malt beverage as well as hard vanilla cream and ginger ale offerings, among others.

Beginning March 1st, the makers of top-selling, highly awarded Not Your Father’s Root Beer will introduce a new collection of artisanal brews that put a fresh spin on three classic American flavors. The brand new lineup includes Not Your Mom’s Apple Pie, Not Your Mom’s Strawberry Rhubarb and Not Your Mom’s Iced Tea.

Small Town Brewery made a splash last year when the company’s “Not Your Father’s Root Beer” product notched more than $104 million in off-premise sales. But the apparent novelty of drinking an alcoholic soda seems to have slowed in 2016; sales of the flagship root beer offering are down an astonishing 75 percent over the last four weeks, according market research firm IRI Worldwide. The company today announced the launch of a line of “classically brewed beers” under the “Not Your Father’s Taproom” moniker.

Small Town Brewery (“Small Town”) officially announced today that it will launch Not Your Father’s Vanilla Cream Ale, a creamy botanical craft beer brewed with Madagascar Vanilla, combining a lightly sweet savor with a smooth finish to create a refreshing beer. Small Town Brewery (“Small Town”) and Wisconsin Brewing Company announced today that they will be partnering exclusively to launch the 10.7% ABV version of Not Your Father’s Root Beer nation-wide. This iteration marks the third nationally distributed product from Small Town Brewery after last year’s rollouts of Not Your Father’s Root Beer 5.9% and Not Your Father’s Ginger Ale. Until now, this higher strength version of Not Your Father’s Root Beer has only been available in limited quantities in the Chicagoland area.

Just in time for Father’s Day, Illinois-based Small Town Brewery today announced the nationwide rollout of its signature Not Your Father’s Root Beer line of soda-inspired beers. In a press statement, the company said it signed a distribution agreement with Pabst Brewing Company, which began selling the product earlier this year. Specific terms of the arrangement were not disclosed and representatives from both Pabst and Small Town Brewery were unavailable for comment.
