Stone Releases Ripper, a San Diego Pale Ale with an Aussie Accent
As Stone Brewing expands across the country and the Atlantic, the 20-year-old brewery nods to its San Diego roots with the release of Stone Ripper. The “San Diego Pale Ale” boasts a wave of citrus and passion fruit hoppiness. The beer will be packaged in 12oz can six-packs and available exclusively in California starting this week, with national distribution to begin in January, 2017.
Stone Releases Arrogant Brewing Offerings for Fall
Just in time for Thanksgiving, I present you with beers not fit for your banquet and definitely not fit for everyday indulgence. Since you’ll likely never get to know them yourself by mere happenstance, allow me to introduce you to the family of arrogance seated at my dinner table:
Stone Brewing Releases Emperial IPA in its Anniversary Series
In 2009, Stone President & co-founder Steve Wagner made a research trip to England to learn more about the confusing and often contradictory history of IPAs. That epic trip resulted in an epic ale that years later makes its encore reign – the last in the series of Stone’s 20th Anniversary celebratory re-brews. 20th Anniversary Encore Series: Stone 14th Anniversary Emperial IPA will begin arriving in bars and restaurants where Stone beers are sold this week.

Stone Brewing Restructuring, Lays Off Employees
Citing slower growth and an increasingly more competitive craft beer landscape, San Diego’s Stone Brewing Company today laid off more than 50 employees as part of what it termed a “restructuring.” Cutbacks extended across the entire organization, Brewbound has learned, including personnel in sales, marketing, media, administration, and production. In a statement, new Stone CEO Dominic Engels, who joined the company on September 6, blamed the downsizing on “recent declines in domestic growth for the category and for Stone.”
Stone Coffee Milk Stout and Xocoveza Return
Those in the mood for a fresh cup of coffee or a pour of hot cocoa can have their fix and their beer too. Stone Brewing’s latest seasonal releases (and recurring fan favorites) deliver the familiar flavors that warm our mugs and the cold beer we crave.
Heavy Seas Partners With Stone Brewing Company On Imperial Brown IPA
Heavy Seas Beer is excited to announce the last release in its 2016 Partner Ships series of collaboration beers – an Imperial Brown IPA with Stone Brewing Company.
Stone Releases Enjoy By 10.31.16 Tangerine IPA
Stone Brewing has conjured up another batch of Stone Enjoy By IPA. Instead of opting for the normal Halloween theme of pumpkin spices, Stone harnessed the real, juicy nectar of tangerines. Stone Enjoy By 10.31.16 Tangerine IPA is beginning to arrive this week in select stores, bars and restaurants where Stone beer is sold. Don’t expect it to stick around for long, though. Its plot has been dug, as its enjoy-by fate has already been destined for the hop afterlife.
Stone Brewing’s Cabin Fever Mixed 12-Pack to Include New Beer
The arrival of cooler months heralds when craft beer drinkers begin to find themselves hunkered down indoors with richer beers like milk stouts and porters. Starting this week the new Stone Vanilla Bean Porter will be packed for any such occasion alongside Stone Coffee Milk Stout, Stone Ruination Double IPA 2.0 and Stone Delicious IPA in the Stone Cabin Fever Mixed 12 Pack.

Stone Brewing Names New CEO
After a yearlong search, Stone Brewing Company has finally identified its next chief executive. The San Diego-based craft brewery today named Dominic Engels, who most recently served as the president of POM Wonderful, as its next CEO.
Stone Brewing Releases Collaborative Unapologetic IPA as Part of 20th Anniversary Encore Series
Stone Brewing has spent the past 20 years building a reputation with bold, big-character beers…including many groundbreaking IPAs. So it’s no surprise the San Diego-based craft beer company is revisiting one of its hoppiest Stone Collaboration beers for the latest installment of the Stone 20th Anniversary Encore Series.

Stone Brewing Licenses Name to $26 Million Hotel Concept
Remember way back in 2011 when Stone Brewing said it was planning to build a hotel on the property adjacent to its California brewery? Well today, the San Diego-area craft beer company said it has entered into a licensing agreement with Untitled Hospitality to develop 13 acres of land next to Stone’s Escondido brewing facility.
Stone Brewing Releases 20th Anniversary Citracado IPA
For two decades, Stone Brewing has demonstrated a passion for brewing and an obsession with hops, resulting in two decades of beers that have both challenged traditional styles and rewritten expectations for beer. So it’s only fitting for Stone to commemorate its 20th Anniversary by crafting an awesome new celebratory double IPA: Stone 20th Anniversary Citracado IPA, brewed with avocado flower honey and Citra hops. Beginning this week, the craft beer company will release the beer in 22-ounce bottles and on draft to retailers in markets nationwide where Stone beers are sold.
Stone Brewing Releases First Berlin-Brewed Beers
Nearly seven years in the making, American craft beer has made a milestone leap into Europe’s time-honored beer culture. Stone Brewing has announced that its Berlin, Germany brewery is now fully operational and the company is now distributing its beers to 17 countries throughout Europe. This milestone further solidifies the brewery’s historic accomplishment of becoming the first U.S. craft brewery to independently build, own and operate a brewery in Europe.

SEC Filing Indicates $90 Million VMG Investment in Stone Brewing
There’s more private equity money flowing into the craft brewing industry, this time via consumer products-focused firm VMG Consumer Partners and popular San Diego beermaker Stone Brewing. VMG — which specializes in food and beverage investments and has purchased stakes in entrepreneurial ventures like KIND Healthy Snacks, Pirate’s Booty, Justin’s and Spindrift, among others — will invest $89.5 million into a recently formed limited partnership called “VMG Stone Brewing Coinvestment,” according to a June SEC filing.
