Two months into her role as president of Portland, Maine-based Oxbow Brewing Company, Bri Warner is finding her groove and taking on more of the hands-on, day-to-day operations. The leadership transition allows founder Tim Adams to spend more time evangelizing for Oxbow and Rising Tide, which the company acquired in early 2025.

Rising Tide Brewing Company, of Portland, Maine, announced that its award-winning Maine Island Trail Ale will now be available year-round for the first time since its introduction more than nine years ago.

A well-known figure in Maine’s craft beer scene is running for the state’s House of Representatives. Heather Sanborn, co-owner of Rising Tide Brewing Company and the former president of the Maine Brewers Guild, is running as a Democrat for House District seat 43, which represents parts of Portland and Falmouth. Sanborn is running against Republican attorney Jeffrey Langholtz.

After aggressively adding more than 350 craft beer clients in 18 months, Crown Beverage Packaging — a leading supplier of aluminum cans for beverage manufacturers — is now struggling to keep up with demand from the very customers it sought, and is considering altering the ways it services craft customers. Over the last week, Crown began informing a number of craft breweries that it would no longer be able to fill orders of printed aluminum cans, Brewbound has learned.

PORTLAND, Maine — Fast on the heels of last month’s announcement of Vermont distribution, Rising Tide Brewing Company has now begun offering its beer in New Hampshire as well. Rising Tide has partnered with New Hampshire Distributors, Bellavance Beverage Company, Clarke Distributors, and White Mountain Distributors to allow for statewide distribution.
