Baxter Brewing Co. will debut its latest ‘Passion Project’ beer, Howl Together, on January 16th. The project represents a collaboration with Man Up to Cancer, a support group founded by Maine-resident, Trevor Maxwell, dedicated to combating isolation and depression in male cancer patients.

Baxter Brewing Company is set to launch their new Fall seasonal, Firestack, on September 3rd, 2020. A departure from the Festbier and pumpkin-spiced brews typical of Autumn, Firestack is a 6.3% ABV Red IPA with an aggressive hop profile, medium body, and slightly sweet finish.

To make their beer even more accessible to fans across Maine, the Baxter team has added a delivery route from Augusta to York, Tuesdays through Fridays, in addition to their no-contact curbside pick up.
Baxter Brewing founder Luke Livingston announced Monday that he will retire from the brewery, effective on September 13. Jenn Lever, Baxter’s current operations manager, will take over as president of the Lewiston, Maine-based craft brewery. Livingston, 34, who founded Baxter in 2010, said in his retirement announcement that it was “time to find my next adventure.”
When Baxter Brewing opened inside of the 168-year-old Bates Mill Complex in Lewiston, Maine, in 2011, the state did not allow breweries to sell beer directly to drinkers for on-premise consumption. State laws loosened in 2012, but Baxter – which is ranked as the third-largest brewery in Maine — had already dedicated the vast majority of its facility to production.
