CHATHAM, N.Y. — Chatham Brewing, Columbia County’s first and finest brewery in New York’s upper HudsonValley, has released the Bombogenesis Double IPA.
This double IPA is brewed with simcoe, mosaic, and citra hops, resulting in an 8.5% ABV. The can’s first release coincided with the bombogenesis effect of Winter Storm Stella, which resulted in more than two feet of snow falling in and around the Hudson Valley.
“Beer imitates weather, or so was the case with Bombo. We couldn’t have asked for a better promotion from Mother Nature as it came to this double IPA,” said Tom Crowell, co-founder and owner, ChathamBrewing.
Chatham Brewing also conducted a contest where fans were challenged to show their affection toward the double IPA through tagging themselves and the cans using the hashtag #BomboInBombo. The contest resulted in reaching thousands of craft beer fans, in which Brett Adams of East Nassau, N.Y. and Kyle Goodrich respectively won best photo and video from the promotion.
The Bombogenesis Double IPA is available startingApril 8 until supplies last at retailers, bars, and restaurants proudly carrying Chatham Brewing.
