Two Beers Brewing Announces Three New Beers

SEATTLE — Pack it in, pack it out! Two Beers Brewing announces the addition of a new summer session ale to its lineup of 12-ounce cans, as well as two new brews inspired by summer. Day Hike Summer Session Ale joins the brewery’s tried-and-true Trailhead ISA in can form as a perfect beer for backpacking, hiking and all your summer activities, featuring a low-ABV and refreshing flavor. For enjoying on the patio or in a pint, Wildside IPL – available in 22-ounce bottles and on tap – and the draft-only Pilchuck Pilsner are sure to impress with their subtle aromas and slightly spicy hop finish. Released just in time for beer drinking weather, these new brews will be available now through August.

“As a team of avid hikers and backpackers, having a beer we can enjoy at the top of the mountain or after a long hike is essential,” said Joel VandenBrink, founder of Two Beers Brewing. “The Day Hike and Trailhead cans are perfect for that, while our new Wildside IPL and Pilchuck Pilsner are the perfect end to a summer day. They’re all unique and a little different, ensuring there’s a style for everyone to enjoy.”

The full summer beer lineup from Two Beers Brewing includes:

  • Day Hike Summer Session Ale (41 IBUs, 4.1% ABV): Kicking things off with an effervescent aroma of lemon zest, this summer session ale is light and crisp, perfect for a summer day. With hints of grass and lemon on a palate, this well balanced beer is extremely refreshing, leaving flavors of citrus and grass after every sip before finishing clean. Draft, cans.
  • Wildside India Pale Lager (58 IBUs, 6.3% ABV): Light, aromatic and dry, this summer seasonal utilizes the malt profile of a pilsner and a hop bill of Legacy and Columbus in the tradition of a Northwest IPA. Strong herbal aroma and a clean grassy character, this beer finishes with an even dryness that makes you sip again and again. Draft, bottles.
  • Pilchuck Pilsner (38 IBUs, 5% ABV): One of our most traditional beers, Pilchuck is a Czech-style pilsner, hopped with Saaz and Perle hops. With a lightly sweet aroma and mild hop spiciness on the tongue, this is a refreshing take on an old style. Draft only.
  • Trailhead ISA (48 IBUs, 4.8% ABV): A hybrid style, Trailhead India-style Session Ale (ISA), is a light body, low-alcohol beer with a substantial Yakima Valley Columbus and Palisade dry-hop. The result is a crisp, refreshing beer with the expansive citrus aroma of an IPA and a surprisingly light finish. Draft, cans.
