New Speakers Added to Seventh Annual Alcohol Law and Policy Conference

ALEXANDRIA, VA — The Center for Alcohol Policy (CAP) Seventh Annual Alcohol Law and Policy Conference to be held September 3 — 5, 2014, at the Hyatt Chicago Magnificent Mile in Chicago, Illinois, will feature educational sessions led by a wide range of experts in the field of alcohol law — including attorneys, current and former alcohol regulators, academic thought leaders, public health advocates and others.

The conference agenda will focus on current alcohol laws and challenges, including discussions on the First Amendment and alcohol regulations, counterfeit alcohol, marijuana legalization and alcohol, legal developments in alcohol retailing and preventing underage sales.

The CAP works with state continuing legal education (CLE) boards to provide attending attorneys with CLE credits. In 2013, every attendee was able to secure CLE credits, and more than 35 states approved CLE accreditation for participants. Certain states do not have mandatory CLE requirements.
