Kansas City’s Boulevardia Set to Return in 2015

boulevardiaKansas City – Last summer Boulevardia welcomed 35,000 guest citizens into its borders, and turned in a performance that’s still earning accolades. Visitors experienced the magic that can be made when craft beer, food and music combine with local artisans, eco-education and a Ferris wheel. Today, creators of the three-day festival announce that Boulevardia will be back in 2015 on Father’s Day weekend, June 1921, once again in the historic West Bottoms. The gathering will include popular elements of the 2014 event while adding more unique experiences for all who attend.

“Boulevardia’s inaugural year proved that Kansas City is ready for another signature event, and our team is looking forward to the challenge of making the fest even better in 2015,” said Jeremy Ragonese, president of Boulevardia. “Most importantly we learned what guests enjoyed and what we could do better, and based on input from sponsors, contributors, and consumers, Boulevardians have something to look forward to next June.”

O’Neill Marketing & Event Management will be back to lead initiatives to develop and execute the festival. Full Moon Productions will once again host Boulevardia on its West Bottom grounds. Boulevardia’s leadership consists of the founding board members: Jeremy Ragonese, Boulevard’s director of marketing, James Taylor, president of Let’s Eat Restaurant Group, Marcello Vergara, president/CEO of Propoganda3, Stacia Stelk, executive director of Ripple Glass, Sarah Carlew, Boulevard’s events and community relations manager and Julie Weeks, Boulevard’s marketing communications manager. Chris Haghirian, co-founder of INK magazine’s Middle of the Map Fest, has also joined the board. Keli O’Neill Wenzel, president of O’Neill Marketing & Event Management, will return as executive director.

The festival’s creators are currently securing commitments from craft brewers from throughout the country for its Taps and Tastes event as well as for special tappings throughout the entire Boulevardia grounds. They are also working on the music lineup that will include local, regional and national acts.  More details and a full entertainment schedule will be revealed in early 2015.
