Half Moon Bay Brewing Co. Announces Saint Patrick’s Day Plans

Half Moon Bay, Calif. — February 13, 2014 — Cheese aficionados will find a slice of heaven alongside their pint of house-brewed beer this March at the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company, with a special Cheese and Beer pairing menu offered throughout the month. In addition, St. Patrick’s Day Weekend marks the release of the seasonal Mavericks St. Ginger Red Ale, alongside festive live music the bar, and a special St. Patrick’s Menu which includes some delicious items from Chef Gaston Alfaro that were created to pair alongside the seasonal brew.

In honor of the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company’s participation in the 8th Annual California’s Artisan Cheese Festival this March, and the delicious harmony that just happens to naturally occur when cheese is enjoyed alongside beer, Chef Gaston Alfaro and Brewmaster James Costa have created Beer and Cheese Pairing menu items that will change weekly throughout the month. Beer pairings are subject to change depending on availability.

Starting Friday, March 14, the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company will feature the brand new Mavericks St. Ginger Red Ale on tap in the bar and restaurant. The Mavericks St. Ginger Red Ale is made with East Kent Goldings English and European Styrian hops, pale and crystal malts, roasted barley and rolled oats. At 5.5% abv and 26 IBUs, this house-made seasonal specialty is delicious when paired with food, especially the special St. Patrick’s Weekend menu items that Chef Alfaro has created especially for the holiday.
