GoodLife Brewing Company Releases First Winter Beer

BEND, OR – Adding another beer to its growing lineup of adventurous ales, GoodLife Brewing Company is proud to announce the release of Yukon Cornelius Festive Winter Beer.

This brown porter is 5.7% ABV and 30 IBU’s, and is brewed with 6 malts and 2 hops, then dry hopped with cinnamon.

Head Brewer/Owner, Curt Plants, said, “This is the first time we have brewed a big batch with spices, and I didn’t want them to be too dominant of flavors.” Yukon Cornelius was “hop burst” with cinnamon and nutmeg, instead of the large amount of hops normally used. Plants said, “The cinnamon comes thru in the aroma, while you taste the nutmeg in the back end. Mixed with the malts and hops, it gives a tasty spicy, chocolate flavor.”

There is limited production this winter, so be on the lookout for Yukon Cornelius sightings on draft in Oregon and Washington. The official release party will take place Saturday, December 14th, 2013 at the first ever, Central Oregon Winter Beer Festival.
