Georgia Craft Brewer’s Guild Launches GaBeerJobs.com

ATLANTA, GA – The Georgia Craft Brewer’s Guild is announcing GaBeerJobs.com, a website with a petition to sign in support of modernizing beer laws and creating new jobs in the Georgia craft beer industry. With $14.3 billion in sales on a national level in 2013, the craft beer industry could create jobs across the state of Georgia. But as other states support their local craft brewers and build on the success of their booming craft beer industries, Georgia continues to lag behind because our state laws are out-of-date and inhospitable to craft beer entrepreneurs. There are missed economic opportunities and jobs in our state that can no longer be ignored with the national market continuing to grow at a rapid pace.

According to Nancy Palmer, the Director of the Georgia Craft Brewer’s Guild, “Georgia currently ranks 47th out of the 50 states in breweries per capita. Georgia’s craft brewers need your support to change our laws and let this exciting industry produce more Georgia jobs. It’s time for us to modernize our brewing laws and allow the citizens of Georgia to purchase craft beer directly from the businesses that make it.”

Georgia Craft Brewers Guild was founded in 2010. It promotes and protects the burgeoning licensed brewing industry in Georgia. Craft brewers are small, independent, and traditional by trade. Most other states, including our neighboring states of North Carolina and South Carolina, recognize that local craft brewing is an engine of development and economic progress. Georgia’s laws and regulations governing the production and sale of craft beer need to be modernized and brought into the 21st Century! Visit GaBeerJobs.com to sign the petition and learn how to support positive change and job creation.
