Figueroa Mountain Releases First Canned Beer

Buellton, California— California means sand, surf and sun on the One-Oh-One, and the Central Coast is no exception. Here the mountains meet the sea, and Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company has brewed a k├Âlsch-style beer to celebrate the best of both worlds.

Set to debut in early June of this year, Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company will be joining the can revolution by debuting its first canned beer in early June 2014. Featuring the California coast, FMB “101” is a California-style K├Âlsch, a term coined by CEO Jaime Dietenhofer.

“A California-style K├Âlsch is a sessionable take on a German classic,” explains Dietenhofer. “We wanted to can a light, lower-alcohol beer that goes great with camping, a day at the beach or just kicking back with a beer at home. ‘101’ is a flavorful, food-friendly beer for every occasion.”

Fermented like an ale and cold-conditioned like a lager, this delicious craft brew has a delicate, fruity aroma with a crisp, clean finish. Celebrate the new “101” can release starting at noon on Saturday, June 21, 2014 in their Santa Barbara (137 Anacapa St., Suite F) and Buellton Taprooms (45 Industrial Way).

“101” cans will be available for sale in select retail locations throughout California as well as all three Fig Mtn Brew taprooms where it can also be purchased in pints or growlers. Special “101” t-shirts and gear will be available for purchase online and in the taprooms. For more information visit www.FigMtnBrew.com.
