Duluth, MN — Now in its fourth year, Deschutes Brewery’s Base Camp for Beer Fanatics is better than ever! Beer fans in the greater Duluth area are in for an amazing series of specialty beer tastings, beer and food pairings, and appearances by Woody, the giant beer barrel on wheels. Deschutes brewers, ambassadors and fanatics will be on hand to provide some in-the-trenches insight into our courageously crafted brews.
Deschutes Brewery’s Base Camp not only celebrates the brewery’s popular Mirror Pond Pale Ale, but we also pull out the stops with other year-round favorites and specialty brews that can’t be found elsewhere.

Brews & Brats with Deschutes Brewery
Come join Woody, Deschutes Brewery’s giant beer barrel on wheels — he’s here to hang out with craft beer fans in Duluth! Joining him is a brewer from the Oregon-based brewery, who will be on hand to taste beers and talk beers with visitors. Have a Black Butte Porter brats from Old World Meats and sample from favorites like Mirror Pond Pale Ale, Black Butte Porter, Inversion IPA, Twilight Summer Ale, Chainbreaker White IPA, Fresh Squeezed IPA and Obsidian Stout. The brand-new Foray Belgian-Style IPA will also be flowing. Now that’s some beer.

Pints on the Patio with Deschutes Brewery
Spend a perfect summer evening at a BBQ to end all grilling experiences! Deschutes Brewery is here from Oregon celebrating all things craft beer, and the menu for the evening is inspired by their award-winning beers. Not only will they be bringing over a brewer to chat all things beer, but he’ll be joined on the back patio by Woody — the brewery’s giant traveling beer barrel. A pint glass giveaway, beer trivia for great prizes and awesome beers on tapÔǪyou need to get down here!

Woody, Deschutes Brewery’s good-times-on-wheels mobile bar, has made the trek over from Oregon and will be meeting and greeting fans around the Duluth region for a couple of days. Combine special Deschutes Brewery beer brats from Old World Meats with Deschutes Brewery beers, and you have the perfect summer beer-b-que! Deschutes Brewery is here from Oregon celebrating all things craft beer, and they’ve brought the whole gang. One of their brewers will be leading a special limited bottle tasting and be available for a Q&A session, and Woody, the brewery’s giant traveling beer barrel will be parked outside for photo opps. Deschutes Brewery & Vikre Collaboration Event
Deschutes Brewery is up from Oregon celebrating all things craft beer with its “Base Camp for Beer Fanatics.” They’ve teamed up with locals at Vikre Distillery to create an evening that features a drink menu inspired by Deschutes beers and Vikre cocktails. We’ve paired these amazing beverages with a special appetizer menu for visitors to sample while listening to live tunes from The Boomchucks and The Sharrows. Add in bottle tastings of limited edition beers with a Deschutes brewer and an appearance by Woody (giant beer barrel on wheels) and this event can be safely categorized in “not-to-be-missed.”
