Coronado Brewing Announces Collaboration with Wadworth

Coronado, CAAs Coronado Brewing heads into the fall, they made one last stop for a holiday and collaboration brew in Devizes, England. Head Brewer Ryan Brooks made the trek to brew Coronado’s Mermaid’s Red Ale with Brian Yorston of Wadworth & Company. This American Amber Ale was produced for JD Wetherspoon Brewpub’s as an entry in their American Craft Beer Showcase. The showcase features various American craft breweries; all of which are brought to the U.K. to brew at various breweries throughout the country.

Ryan and Brian brewed the Mermaid’s Red Ale as a cask beer in August and made a 500 bbl batch for JD Wetherspoon’s. However, this isn’t the same beer Coronado’s patrons are used to. The two brewers put a twist on the traditional recipe by using all English ingredients.
