BOULDER, Colo. — If you work for the Avery Brewing Company, by the last night of the Great American Beer Festival you have probably drank at least 50 beers in the last three days, gotten maybe 15 hours of sleep and had to have other people remind you what happened the night before at least once.
But the party’s not over—there’s one more night. So what do you do? You throw on your comfiest robe, slip into your fuzziest slippers and hit the Robe One Out party and bar crawl at Freshcraft, Lucky Pie and The Pour House Pub in Denver.
“That’s right, we are throwing a robe party,” said Avery National Marketing Director Darin McGregor. “Every year by Saturday of GABF we are all wiped out, all of us—brewery reps, the bartenders, even the hardiest beer nerds. At that point we just want to relax and enjoy the rest of the celebration. Last year our National Sales Director Dustin Lemoine and I snagged our bathrobes from our hotel and wore them out to the bars. It was a funny way of showing how tired we were. We had so much fun we decided to make that concept its own party. I ran the idea by Jason Forgy at Freshcraft and he was on board right away. We’ll see if everyone thinks it sounds as fun as we do. I am hoping to see at least 100 people wandering around LoDo in robes relaxing, celebrating the week and letting it all hand out.”
The Robe One Out party starts at 10pm on Saturday Oct. 12th at all three locations- Freshcraft, Lucky Pie LoDo and The Pour House Pub. A limited supply of Avery embroidered robes will be available for purchase at all three bars. Purchase an Avery robe and you get a free beer. Or wear your own robe and be one of the first 30 through the door and you also get a free Avery beer. Rare Avery beers and Tap Room exclusives will be on tap at all three locations.
