Avery Brewing Co. Expands to Wisconsin

Avery BrewingBoulder, CO — The Avery Brewing Company announced today that it is expand its distribution in Wisconsin by partnering with Beechwood Sales & Service and Specialty Beverage of Wisconsin. Starting this week Avery beers will be available throughout the entire state in package and on draft.

“We are so proud to have full distribution once again to the homeland of both our CFO and our plant engineer,” said Adam Avery, the brewery’s president, CEO and brewmaster. “Wisconsin has a long and proud history with beer and we are honored to be a part of it.”

Bottles, cans, and draft of year round beers like White Rascal Belgian-Style White Ale, Avery IPA and Ellie’s Brown Ale will be the first available, and seasonals and other limited releases will arrive in the months to follow.

“What makes a brand like Avery stand out, is the quality of the beers,” said Dave Cartwright of Beechwood and Specialty Beverage of Wisconsin. “We were greatly disappointed when Avery decided to pull from most of Wisconsin due to capacity constraints three years ago. As a business partner and as a fan of great beer, I am personally very excited they are returning. I believe Wisconsinites, craft beer connoisseurs and casual fans alike will welcome Avery back in droves, and include them in their stable of favorites.”

Wisconsin was one of several states where Avery cut distribution three years ago as sky-rocketing demand outpaced production at Avery’s brewery in Boulder. During that time Avery beers were available in Wisconsin only at Brennan’s Market, which maintains its own distributor license. Since then Avery has invested in equipment and personnel to increase barrelage at its existing location and construction has begun on Avery’s new $27 million brewery set to open in early 2015. Avery will maintain its distribution with Brennan’s and will cover the rest of the state of Wisconsin through Beechwood Sales & Service and Specialty Beverage.

The Alchemy Café in Madison will host a launch party tonight at 5pm, Wednesday, February 5th, and will feature five beers on tap— Avery IPA, White Rascal Belgian-Style White Ale, The Reverend Belgian-Style Quadrupel Ale, Hog Heaven Dry-Hopped Barley-Wine-Style Ale and The Maharaja Imperial India Pale Ale. Tomorrow night, Thursday February 6th, Avery will be featured in Milwaukee at The Sugar Maple.
