Topa Topa Brewing Co.’s First Mixed Pack Has Arrived - Three Unique Single Hop IPAs, One 6-pack

Ventura & Santa Barbara counties can get it at all five Topa Taprooms before it hits SoCal shelves Labor Day weekend.

Fans of Chief Peak IPA will be delighted to know the brewery behind this local favorite, Topa Topa Brewing Co®, is bringing three new IPAs to market in one innovative 6-pack just before Labor Day weekend. All five Topa Taprooms and select SoCal retailers will carry the Solitude Series IPA Mixed Pack through September & October, while supplies last. This is the first mixed pack released by the award-winning brewery, who medaled at the most recent World Beer Cup with Chief Peak IPA.

“Nine years ago, when we first started, our flagship IPA Chief Peak was taking off, so we wanted to find some ways to play with new hops,” shares CEO & Founder Jack Dyer. “That led to an experimental, ever changing single hop IPA series we called Solitude. We’ve had the opportunity to trial different single hop IPAs for a long time at our taprooms, letting us understand customer preferences, so we’re pretty stoked about getting this fun mixed pack out there.”

In the mixed 6-pack, COO, Founder & Brewmaster Casey Harris is serving up a hop selection that gives a nod to time-tested favorites, along with something new. “It’s been a really exciting project showcasing all the diverse hops we’re able to use, while letting each variety stand alone. This allows the drinker to experience how each single hop expresses itself throughout the different stages in the brewing process.”

Casey notes the final hops selected for the Solitude Series IPA Mixed Pack gives a balance of flavors in one package. “Mosaic has always been a standout hop, as it’s so diverse in its flavor and aroma with an array of fruity, tropical, and earthy notes. Citra is one of my favorites, and kind of finds its way into a lot of our beers - perfect for rounding things out with its strong citrus qualities. Talus is a new one, and it’s really a unique hop with intense flavors of grapefruit, stone fruit, and oak.” 

Topa Topa intends to explore other unique hops in future Solitude Series releases, while keeping an ear to customer preferences. Every mixed 6-pack is hand-packed by Topa Topa’s packaging team, so that fans can enjoy two cans of each hop variety and try their favorite hops side by side. An interactive QR code on the base of the mixed 6-pack provides an opportunity to share feedback on which hop pleases their palate the most.
