World of Beer Celebrates the World Cup

TAMPA, Fla. — World of Beer (WOB), a rapidly-expanding network of beer-centric taverns known for its collection of over 500 craft brews from around the world, craft spirits and Tavern Fare, is launching its first ever WOB CUP, a month-long watch-event for beer and soccer enthusiasts.

As the premier location to watch this summer’s World Cup, WOB boasts a collection of beers from almost every country competing in the World Cup (varies by location), which will give guests the full World Cup experience through tastings, beer flights, parties, swag, and prizes.

Each of WOB’s 56 locations will be broadcasting the games and select locations will feature their version of the Caipirinha, the Brazilian National Cocktail. The month-long event began with the WOB CUP Kick-Off Party hosted at participating locations on June 12, 2014 during the 3pm kick-off of Brazil and Croatia. WOB is also hosting the WOB CUP Bracket Challenge, a competition running from June 12, 2014 through July 13, 2014. The WOB CUP Bracket Champion will receive a $200 WOB gift card, the Semi-Finals Winner will receive a $100 WOB gift card, and the WOB CUP Quarter Finals Winner will receive a $50 WOB gift card. Results will be tallied and viewed through www.wobusa.com for the duration of the WOB CUP.
