WASHINGTON – There are few times where the consumer is privileged enough to be served by the Chairman of the Board for the Brewer’s Association, but thats exactly what the annual SAVOR craft beer and food pairing event is all about.
Nick Matt, who is also the CEO of the F.X. Matt Brewing Company was among the many brewers who turned out to pour their beer for attendees of this years event.
Matt’s visit to Washington was highlighted by a trip to Capitol Hill, where he, along with 50 other brewers, met with members of Congress to discuss federal excise taxes on small brewers.
Brewbound.com was able to catch up with Matt, who was pouring his freshly canned Summer Ale into the commemorative SAVOR glasses of craft beer fans. Matt discussed the “12 beers of summer” variety pack, the canned craft beer trend and federal legislation concerning small brewers.
