Veteran Beer Expands Distribution to Wisconsin

Wausau, WI — Mid-Wisconsin Beverage (Wausau, Wisconsin), announced today the signing of an exclusive Distribution Agreement with Veteran Beer Company, (Chicago, Illinois), to distribute the company’s craft-brewed beer. Veteran Beer Company is a 100% Veteran-Owned, Benefits Corporation, with an all Veteran workforce, dedicated to providing lives of quality for Military Veterans, through the creation of meaningful post-service careers. 10% of Veteran Beer Company profits are donated to charities that serve Veterans; with remaining profits used to employ more veterans.

Veteran Beer Company is committed to being a preeminent beer producer, inspired by the highest traditions of the United States Military. The company currently produces two beers in 12-ounce bottle 6-packs: The Veteran, a Premium Amber Lager; and Blonde Bomber, An American Blonde Ale. Every product in the Veteran Beer Company portfolio is the result of the individual attention-to-detail of hand-selected Veteran craftsmen and women who are passionate about their mission and their beers. As Paul Jenkins, Founder of Veteran Beer Company noted: “Veteran unemployment is alarmingly high. The Veteran Beer Company was formed to help change that momentum. Our message is simple: Drink Our Beer, Help Vets. In partnering with Mid- Wisconsin Beverage, we feel we’ve selected the best beverage distributor in North Central Wisconsin to represent our products and help us in our mission.”

The history of Mid-Wisconsin Beverage is tied to the brewing industry. George Wolff Sr. co-founded the Wausau Brewing Co. (predecessor of Mid-Wisconsin Beverage) in 1934, which produced many beers such as Schoens Old Lager (Louis Schoen was the Brew master), Adel Brau, and Rib Mountain Lager. Kyle Page, General Manager for Mid-Wisconsin Beverage stated: “We are truly honored to be able to partner with the Veteran Beer Company. We share their values, believe strongly in their mission & look forward to providing area consumers with another great-tasting, quality craft-brewed beer. Nine months ago we began distribution of Bull Falls Beer, a locally produced beer & now we’re launching Veteran Beer; a beer with a powerful mission to help Veterans. Fifty-One years ago Mid-Wisconsin Beverage left the beer business. Now, in the fourth generation of our Wausau-based, family-owned business, we’ve returned to the beer business and we look to continue expanding our craft beer portfolio.”
