Urban Artifact to Release Whirligig Blueberry Tart Ale

Cincinnati, Ohio – Urban Artifact, Cincinnati’s wild culture expert, will be releasing a new Midwest Fruit Tart, Whirligig, brewed with copious amounts of blueberries.

Urban Artifact, known for only using real ingredients such as whole fruit and fresh spices to flavor beers, made no exception with Whirligig. 3 tons of blueberries were pureed and added to the boil kettle where a compote was made. Once primary fermentation was complete, the compote was pumped over to the fermentor and vanilla beans added.

Whirligig is set to release the week of August 14th, on draft and in cans, and will be sold at better beer retailers across Ohio and Northern Kentucky. The Urban Artifact taproom release is scheduled for Tuesday, August 15th.
