ASHEVILLE, N.C. — On Friday, March 9, UpCountry Brewing is tapping the kegs on two new beers: a new hazy IPA, Isoprene, and a double IPA collaboration brew with Mad Co Brewing.
ISOPRENE: The Isoprene is UpCountry’s new hazy IPA.
Grain: Briess Pale Ale, Flaked Wheat, Flaked Oats, and Munich
Hops added to boil: Chinook, Cascade, and Citra
Dry hopped twice with Eldorado, Citra, and Mandarina hops
ABV: 6%
DIPA COLLABORATION WITH MAD CO: Leah Tyrell, UpCountry’s head brewer, brewed this double IPA with Ian Yancich, the head brewer at Mad Co Brewing.
Grain: Riverbend Pilsner, Select 2-row. Touch of wheat.
Hops: 007, Pacific Jade, Simcoe, and Simcoe Lupulin
Fermented with a tropical farmhouse yeast.
ABV: 9.2%
“We’re always excited when we get to put a new beer on,” said UpCountry’s owner, John Cochran. “This release is just the beginning of the plans we have for the brew house. I encourage Asheville to come give these two brews a taste and let us know what you think.”
UpCountry is tapping both kegs at 5:00PM on Friday. Live music from Cynefin will begin at 8:30PM with no cover at the door.
