Surf Brewery Releases Espresso Oil Piers Porter

Ventura, CA — Surf Brewery, a small commercial craft brewery, open since 2011, with an onsite tasting room and homebrew shop, announced that they are releasing an Espresso version of their classic Oil Piers™ Porter. Named after a now extinct surf spot between Ventura and Santa Barbara, Oil Piers™ has been a staple at Surf from the beginning. Infusing cold brewed Espresso XX from local Ventura Beacon Coffee, this is an espresso forward brew.

Head brewer Nick Valasquez mentioned, “This was an easy combination to suggest, I drink Beacon’s Espresso XX every day, and to infuse into the porter, obtaining the best of both flavor profiles.

I see this being the more predominant version of Oil Piers™, because so many people love the flavor of coffee, myself included.” In bottles, this is available locally at Vons, Haggen and Whole Foods Market.

About Surf Brewery®: Ventura County, long known for world class surf spots like Rincon Cove, C-Street and Silver Strand, now has a world class craft beer presence.
