Good People Brewing Co. Partners with BeerBoard

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — BeerBoard, the leader in real-time data, insights and consumer engagement for the restaurant industry, announced today it has signed Good People Brewing Co., a fast-growing brewer based in Alabama, as a new brewery partner. The move continues a recent run of prominent retail operators and brewers joining BeerBoard’s fast-growing client list in the South and further cements the company’s position within the industry.

Good People joins a roster of prominent brewers to partner with BeerBoard, including Lagunitas, Stone and Magic Hat. It will receive BeerBoard’s proprietary, real-time data and analytics driven from the company’s SmartBar platform, which for the first time, provides brewers real-time visibility on product movement from every brand on tap. SmartBar and its reporting tools provide brewers with actionable insights, on-demand tap/share distribution, brewery snapshots and market trends and rank. It utilized by brewery staff from senior management to field sales people.

“The BeerBoard Team welcomes Good People Brewing Co. as our newest brewery partner,” said John Boyle, BeerBoard’s Director of Data Insights. “Good People is an emerging brand and one that is noted for producing quality product. Our SmartBar platform will produce unprecedented visibility for their staff and assist them in being more proactive to the ever-changing retail landscape.”

“BeerBoard stood out to us as a unique information solution in the industry, offering tangible benefits to each tier of the beer business,” said Ben Lewellyn, Sales Director for Good People Brewing Co. “Our main goal is to develop stronger insights surrounding the on-premise marketplace — which seems to change every hour — and offer our retail partners a better translation of our portfolio to their objectives. BeerBoard helps us achieve that goal with an exceptional retail partner group, an intuitive reporting interface, and up-to-the-minute information that would require an army of reps to come close to simulating.”

BeerBoard’s real-time brand insights are generated from every BeerBoard-metered draft line across national casual dining concepts, such as Buffalo Wild Wings, Hooters, Mellow Mushroom and Twin Peaks, along with major regional and independent bars.

SmartBar provides brewers specific performance insights on national, state, region, concept, or location level for both internal or external use. Within the platform, BeerBoard has created brewery and brand performance reports on an aggregate basis for the entire U.S., then broken down further by region, state, market and location. Trend reporting is available by draft category and style, including rankings by brand.

Good People Brewing Company is Alabama’s oldest and largest brewery. It is currently distributed in Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, and the Northwest Florida panhandle. In 2017, Good People acquired Avondale Brewing Company, also in Birmingham, which is distributed only in the state of Alabama. Between the two breweries, production is expected to land around 25,000 bbls for 2018.

BeerBoard’s robust client list includes high-profile independent groups and major chain operators across North America, including industry leaders Buffalo Wild Wings, Hooters, Twin Peaks, Applebee’s and BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse. It also provides data and insights to major brewers Lagunitas, Heineken, Stone Brewing and Magic Hat.
