ATLANTA – Steady Hand Beer Co., one of Atlanta’s newly anticipated breweries, will open its first taproom and production facility in West Midtown in early 2018. Located at 1611 Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard adjacent to Bacchanalia, Star Provisions and Topgolf, the brewery will offer an inviting space for guests to gather to enjoy the Steady Hand beers. In addition to Paradise Waits IPA and Georgia Farmhouse Ale, which are currently available on tap at bars and restaurants across metro Atlanta and throughout Georgia, Steady Hand will showcase a variety of specialty offerings.
The beer-passionate trio behind Steady Hand, brothers Brian and Kevin Sullivan and business partner Randy Wise, wanted to create a brewery to build community while highlighting their creativity and experiences. In 2015, everything fell into place professionally for the three to start Steady Hand. Brian, the brewmaster, brings more than 20 years of brewing and culinary knowledge to create distinct, ingredient-focused and experience-driven beers. Kevin handles the business side, serving as chief executive officer, while Randy provides expertise as engineer and operations manager.
“We’re looking forward to bringing a unique and exciting new brewery to Atlanta,” said Kevin. “Steady Hand is the culmination of each of our experiences from living and working in other regions – from Colorado to California to the Midwest – yet inspired by the culinary influences of the South. We can’t wait to be a part of the vibrant, growing West Midtown community.”
The 14,000 square-foot space will boast a production area with a 30bbl brewhouse for core beers, plus a smaller batch brew system for pilot, seasonal and one-off beers. The taproom space will be designed with the visitor in mind, bringing guests an engaging and sensory experience into the brewing process, along with a stage for live music, an area for food trucks and rentable space for private events.
Steady Hand recently introduced cans to the Atlanta market with the launch of Flower Business Double IPA, as well as their flagship Paradise Waits IPA. A seasonal release, Seasonal Farmhouse Ale, will soon be bottled and available for purchase around the city. Their beers are also currently served on draft throughout Georgia.
