DURANGO, Colo. — Aged to perfection, Ska Brewing is excited to announce the release of its 11.5% ABV barleywine-style ale, Ska Face, available on shelves January 5.
Aged in Peach Street Colorado straight bourbon barrels for two years, Ska Face boasts heavenly aromas of caramel, vanilla, bourbon and raisins. Flavors of dark fruits, oaky notes of vanilla and a hint of charred wood rise from the silky garnet covered liquid.
Released every other year, Ska Face won the 2015 Bronze Medal at the Great American Beer Festival, Wood-and-Barrel-Aged Strong Beer category.
“We’re so excited to offer this year’s release of the Ska Face,” said Kristen Muraro, Marketing Director at Ska. “A true fan favorite, this barleywine-style ale is the perfect brew to enjoy during the winter months, whether as an apres treat or after dinner delight.”
Ska Face will be available on draft and in 550 ML bottles, across all of Ska’s markets of distribution.
