Santa Fe Brewing Releases Black IPA

Santa Fe, New Mexico — The Santa Fe Brewing Company is thrilled to announce the release of its winter seasonal beer: the award winning Black IPA. In its third consecutive year of production, this beer has gained quite the reputation. With an overall score of 91 on Ratebeer.com, it is a force to be reckoned with. Simply crack open the black and silver can (or enjoy it on draft) and you’ll realize just how hard the crew at SFBC has worked to create this one of a kind brew.

This Black IPA transcends style. The idea is simple, but the flavor complex. It has everything you want in a great IPA, but with a little bit of chocolate. The crisp, dry punch of hops leaves you wondering how this beer has such a balanced flavor. The secret is Midnight Wheat. Aromas of passion fruit, citrus, and pine cut their way through the dark malts to both titillate and challenge the senses. The dry finish and dark ebony color are distinctive characteristics of this winter seasonal and make for a smooth and approachable beer for the masses.

The generously dry-hopped dark-as-night ale has historically been available from November through February. This year, it’s making the jump from a powerhouse in the winter seasonal category to a year-round staple at SFBC. At the moment, there’s no telling what’s in store for Winter of 2015, though we can tell you it won’t disappoint like a surprise visit from your in-laws. Oh, and it will be in a canÔǪ
