“Adding the emerging Ohio craft beer market to our distribution footprint is a vital part of our business model,” said Earl Smith, CEO of Rochester Mills Production Brewery. “Although we have been very careful not to overextend ourselves as we grow, we are now in a position to take our beers to a broader customer base.”
The new market expansion follows a year in which the company grew production by 40% percent, to more than 4,700 barrels.
In addition to all 83 counties in Michigan, Rochester Mills’ beers are now available in 23 counties in Northern Ohio. Continued expansion throughout the Midwest — including deeper penetration throughout the Ohio market and beyond — is also on tap for this year.
RL Lipton Distributing Company will distribute Rochester Mills’ year round portfolio of beers, including Milkshake Stout, Rochester Red Ale, Cornerstone IPA, Pine Knob Pilsner and Lazy Daze Amber Lager in 16 oz. cans and on draft as well as the company’s four rotating seasonal beers, Newton’s ALEchemy, Tongue Tied Cherry Saison, Oktoberfest Celebration Lager and Snow Dazed Winter Ale.
